Breathe. 💖

We so often talk of our Soul in terms of Life after death, and we may find ways to regulate behavior and encode morality in the interest of that.

But it seems we spend so little of our focus and attention, in this same culture, on what it means to truly Live as our Soul here on Earth.

It all starts when we breathe.

With our first breath, our Soul energy fully inhabits our now-living body. 

And with our last breath, we expire in the most literal sense of the word, our Soul returning to its fully expanded state outside of our body.

Now it may be time to turn our attention to everything in between.

How do we Live as our Soul wants to Live here on Earth, fully invested in the eternal world and Loving our Life at the same time?

It all comes down to our breath.

And so, we start from there. 💖

Fall has officially started, with its unbeatable combination of warm sun and crisp breezes, with its colors starting to go ablaze!

Turning to Fall! 💖

Fall is a beautiful time, invigorating and inspirational, when you can feel movement in the air.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, fall is the season of both air and metal element, the element of your core, like that of the earth.

Lung and large intestine are the organs associated with fall, and the primary function of fall is to Breathe in and to release.

Use the power of your lungs to breathe in your Soul energy and to exhale your way to relief!

Metal keeps you grounded and focused, just as minerals keep your nervous and digestive systems, which are intricately linked, healthy.

In balance, metal element keeps you organized, and out of balance you may feel lost in grief.

For your fall diet, choose protein, white and beige foods, and a pungent or umami taste.

Start to go underground with your diet with root vegetables and tubers to store energy for the winter, and protect your immune system with minerals for the change in weather.

Soybeans, potatoes, rice, and oats; onion, garlic, ginger, and cinnamon; fall harvest fruits such as pears and apples; and cod for fish expand your diet right now.

Think of the peaceful and productive activity of squirrels, and you may find yourself putting things or order internally and at home.

Clear and release mentally, declutter your home and donate unused items, and get outside to take in that fresh air!

Remember that the purpose of release is to make way for what is new and to keep things pure.

The reward is the full return on what you have planned and prepared, both in the season just past and for the one just ahead.

Your breath, along with the metal that grounds the current of your Soul energy, is your connection to your Now moment, your Heavenly Father, and the eternal world.

That connection is the gift of fall! 💖

Angels All Around Us! 💖

As you take time to pause in your day, you can use simple breathing  to feel back in touch with your Soul energy, to flow in strong connection with the larger part of you.

Pause. Sit. Breathe.

Or walk or move in stillness.

Look up, and feel gratitude for all that is larger than you.

You can connect with the energy that is your Source, the origin of this Universe.

And in so doing, you allow your Soul to flow through you in bright and radiant fullness.

That is the real you, and it is always here, waiting for you. 💖

How do I return to Love? 💖

I was working with someone dear to me today, and the work that applies for her applies for so many others, too. 

She left a job that was detrimental to her personal health—with far too many hours, too much workload, and very little personal reward.

Many people have been in the same situation and can relate to the work at hand. I was in a high-stress job myself when I first went to Zen Shiatsu 19 years ago. As she recoups her energy, the question for her becomes, "How can I feel like myself again? How do I return to Love?"

The following is my prescription for her, and I know she can do it. It may be helpful for you, too. 💖


Your work is to remove yourself from lower energy, and to remove lower energy from you. 

I am sure you were surrounded by it at work, and that is one way it seeps in—we are all porous.

We absorb what we observe.

First, you have left the job. No more of it swirling around you. 

You can tell where else lower energy is by the way things feel—nightly news, etc. Just leave it out of your daily routine. 

For personal interactions that feel negative, follow the same remedy—remove yourself from the situation.

Let go mentally. No controlling. ("I know best.") And no judging.

Keep giving all of it to God. Ask Jesus and Archangel Michael to take it from you.

You know what lower energy is by the way it feels—negative, cranky, pessimistic, seeing darkness in other people and places, and similar feelings. Keep releasing it from yourself. 

Identifying it helps, so it isn't just taking over or taking up residence within you, or being allowed to stay.

Order it out. "That is negative energy, and it has no place with me." Say whatever feels right and effective for you.

As you clear yourself of one (actual) energy that flows out, you want to be actively deciding which energy gets to flow through you.

God, Love, Jesus, your Soul energy.

Beautiful you. 

Reorder your daily habits away from the negative and back to the overflowing positive.

That's God. Jesus. Love. Your Soul.

You know it, too, by the way it feels. 

Pure. Overflowing. Joy. Love. Happiness. Peace.

The sense of multiplying, growing. Becoming more.

Solutions pop out of the air for you. And they keep going. There's no more wall.

You eat better. Drink better. Think better.

So, start today.  Start right now.

Be diligent about it. Be dedicated. To God and yourself.

That's all. Find what works, and keep doing it.

And drink a lot of water—you are washing your troubles away, literally. ;)

Fast-moving Clouds 💖

We can take the sum total of the world's events and actions, and we will still find that the world is filled with Love, Peace, and Joy. I Believe. 😇💖✨

The sky and the clouds were amazing today. It was such a Joy just sitting and watching! 

I am sending Love and Peace everywhere, especially to people who are asking for help.

The Last Days of Summer 💖

As you Love the feel of the sun right now and at the same time feel the days start to decline, I want to remind you to Love these last days of summer!

The earth element of late summer, in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as in practical terms, is your time of harvest, of reaping the rewards of your full activity in summer.

It's the time of bursting ripeness and full manifestation of your dreams as you feel the fulfilling satisfaction that goes with them.

Late summer's colors are orange and yellow, so fill your seasonal diet accordingly. The bright colors of mangos, peaches, and citrus give way to the deeper hues of carrots, winter squash, and pumpkins. Chickpeas and salmon go with it, too.

Late summer's taste is sugar, and in balance, you'll find yourself cheerful and daydreaming, nurturing to yourself as well as others.

To balance an excess of sugar, which feels like worry and ungroundedness, eat leafy greens and healthy fats and oils, as well as sea salt and seaweed. (Miso is a favorite of mine for bringing excess sugar or oil into balance.)

The season of stomach and spleen, the earth element of late summer gives you the nutrients you need and distributes the energy throughout your body.

Now is the time to absorb, absorb, absorb~the last of the deep summer rays and the fruits of the earth still producing for you.

The gift of late summer is generosity!

With you, I am giving thanks that this Earth is our home.
